Wise Beginning Counselling
Somatic psychotherapy practice in West End and Milton, Brisbane. A new site in English and Spanish, with fees before booking, a page per location and every old address kept.
The Challenge
Wise Beginning Counselling is Alpha Ponce's practice in Brisbane: trauma-informed somatic psychotherapy in West End and Milton, and online, in English and Spanish. Her old WordPress site needed replacing. The new one had to present each therapy she offers in her own words, show fees and the cancellation policy before anyone booked, cover two locations open on different days, and state her registration exactly as it stands: Alpha is a PACFA Registered Clinical Counsellor and Somatic Psychotherapist. On a therapy site, a wrong title or a promise of results is a compliance problem.
The Solution
We built a new site in English and Spanish: 12 therapy pages, a page for each location, funding pages for WorkCover and private health insurance, FAQs and a blog with 17 articles. Every "Book" button leads to the fees and booking page first, and from there to her Zanda client portal. Her hours, addresses and fees live in one place in the code, so the pages, the footer and the structured data always agree. The structured data describes the practice as a professional service and uses no protected title, and the site says plainly that her sessions carry no Medicare rebate. The contact form emails her and stores nothing, every animation respects the visitor's reduced-motion setting, and colour contrast was checked against WCAG 2.2 AA. The 57 addresses of the old WordPress site redirect to their new pages.

Results
The site went live on 7 October 2026 at wisebeginning.com.au, with 42 pages per language in its sitemap and hreflang links between each English and Spanish pair. On 16 October we checked all 57 old addresses against the live site, and each one lands on a working page. A Lighthouse run on the home page the same day, on mobile settings, scored 100 for accessibility, best practices and SEO, and over 90 for performance.
