What does website maintenance include?
Four things happen every month without you having to ask. We keep the site online on managed hosting, renew the SSL certificate that puts the padlock in the browser, apply security updates to the code the site depends on, and keep backups so a bad day can be undone.
The fifth is the part people actually notice: up to 2 hours of small changes. New opening hours, a staff photo, an updated price list, a page for a new service. You send a message describing it and we do it. Hours don't carry over to the next month, and anything bigger gets a quote before we start, so there are no surprise invoices.

The website price is fixed because business websites are similar enough for one price to be fair. Web apps and AI tools aren't. An app with a few screens costs less to look after than a client portal with logins and payments, so you get the exact monthly figure in the proposal, before you commit to anything.
Can you maintain a website someone else built?
Yes, once we've looked at it. Before taking over a site we didn't build, we review it: how it's built, where it's hosted, who controls the domain and what state the code is in. Then we tell you plainly whether we can look after it as it is.
Sometimes the honest answer is no. A site that needs constant patching just to stay online can cost more to keep alive for a year than to replace, and in that case we'll say so and quote a new website instead, from $1,500. You decide, with both numbers in front of you.
What happens when something breaks?
You send us a message by email, phone or WhatsApp, and we reply within 24 hours. The reply isn't a ticket number. It's us, telling you what we've found and what happens next.
Because we look after both the hosting and the code, there's no back-and-forth between a host blaming the developer and a developer blaming the host. One place is responsible for the whole thing, and that's us.
What happens if I cancel the care plan?
Nothing dramatic. There's no exit fee and no minimum term. The code and the domain are yours, so you can take the site to another developer or host it yourself, and you're not starting from zero when you do.
When you don't need a care plan
- Your site runs on Wix, Squarespace or Shopify. Those platforms host and update themselves, so what you'd be paying for is changes, and for a few changes a year a one-off quote costs less.
- You're replacing the site in the next few months. Put the money into the new website instead, and start the care plan the day it launches.
- Someone on your team already keeps the site updated. A care plan would pay twice for the same work.
