Local SEO in Brisbane: get found on Google Maps
Local SEO is the work that gets a business into the map results when someone nearby searches for what it does: "electrician near me", "family lawyer Chermside", "facials Stones Corner". Most of it isn't the website. It's your Google Business Profile, the reviews on it, and your business details being the same everywhere they appear. We look after that every month for small businesses across greater Brisbane and South East Queensland.
It starts with a $500 setup, then costs from $349 a month for one location. The minimum is three months, because that's roughly how long it takes to see whether it's working. After that you pay month to month and can stop whenever you like. The profile and every listing stay in your name.

The setup
The first two to three weeks. Everything a profile needs to compete, done once and done properly.
Your Google Business Profile, fixed
The right primary category (the single setting that matters most, and the one most often wrong), your services with prices, hours, service area, description, photos of real work, and links to the right pages of your site. If you don't have a profile yet, we create it with you.
Your listings, made consistent
Bing Places and Apple Business Connect (Bing feeds ChatGPT's search, Apple feeds Apple Maps and Siri), plus the Australian directories worth having, like Yellow Pages and True Local. Same business name, address and phone number on every one.
A way of asking for reviews you'll keep using
Your short review link, a message you can send in ten seconds, and the moment in your work to send it: at handover, with the invoice, after the job. A habit gets more reviews than a one-off campaign.
A check of your website
We check that your site says the same thing as your profile and has a page for each service you want to be found for. If we built it, it's already set up for this. If someone else did, we review it first and tell you what needs fixing and what it would cost.
Where you start
Your profile's numbers on day one (calls, website clicks, direction requests, reviews) and what Google shows for your main searches, so the first report compares against something real.
Every month
What each month covers, for one location.
Weekly posts on your profile
One post a week about a recent job, an offer or a question customers ask, with your own photos. A profile that changes every week tells customers you're busy and still trading.
A reply to every review
Within the same week, good and bad, in your voice. You approve the tricky ones. People read your replies to see how you treat customers.
Keeping the review requests going
A monthly nudge with the customers you finished work for, so asking stays a habit. We never offer anything in exchange for a review and never ask only the happy customers: both break Google's rules.
One new listing or mention
Every month, one more place your business should appear: an industry association, a local directory, a supplier's "where to buy" page. Fewer and right beats many and messy.
Profile upkeep
Holiday hours, new services, new photos, answering the questions people post on your profile, and catching edits Google or the public suggest to your details before they go live.
A report you can read in five minutes
What we did, what moved (calls, website clicks and direction requests from your profile, reviews, and searches from Search Console if you have a site), what didn't move and what we'll do next month. We also check whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini mention you for a fixed set of questions, so you can see the trend.
How much does local SEO cost in Brisbane?
With us, $500 to set up and then from $349 a month for one business location. A business with more than one location, or one that needs new pages written on its site, gets a written quote. Website changes aren't part of the monthly fee: if we look after your site, small changes are already covered by the care plan.
That price is for the work that moves map results for a small business: the profile, reviews and listings. No ads, no blog posts you didn't ask for, and no long contract once the first three months are done.
What actually gets a business into the map results?
Three things decide the map results: how close the business is to the person searching, how well the profile matches the search, and how much Google trusts the business. Distance matters most, and nobody can change it. A plumber in Logan won't show up first for someone searching in Chermside, whatever they spend. Anyone who promises otherwise is selling something.
The other two you can work on. Matching the search comes from the profile: the right category, services described in the words customers use, and a website with a page for each one. Trust comes from reviews (how many, how recent, and whether you reply), from your details being the same everywhere, and from other sites mentioning you. That's the work we do every month.
How long does local SEO take to work?
The first changes usually show within a few weeks of the setup: more profile views and the odd extra call, as Google picks up the fixed category and services. Reviews build more slowly, and they're what moves you past competitors who've been collecting them for years. Plan on three to six months for a clear change in a competitive area, which is why the minimum is three months and the first reports say honestly what has and hasn't moved.
Do I need a website for local SEO?
You can have a profile without one, but you'll lose people. When someone compares three businesses on the map, they tap through to the websites, and that's where they decide who to call. Google also reads your site to understand what you do, so a page for each service helps the profile appear for those searches.
If you need a site, see web design in Brisbane or, for trades, websites for tradies. If you already have one, we check it during the setup.
What we're doing on our own profile
We're running the same playbook on Synergic Pro's own Google Business Profile, starting October 2026. The primary category was wrong (it said "Marketing agency" instead of "Website designer"), the services had no prices, and we hadn't been asking clients for reviews. We fixed the profile, submitted the business to Bing, Yellow Pages and other Australian directories, and started asking each client for a review, one a week.
We'll publish the 90-day numbers on this page in January 2027, whatever they show. It seemed fairer than borrowing numbers from someone else.
The website side of local work
We haven't published a client's map numbers yet. These two show the part of local SEO that lives on the site: a page per service and area, consistent business details, and forms that reach the owner.

Read the case studyWhen local SEO isn't what you need
- You sell online across Australia and customers never come to you or you to them. Map results won't help much; you need a site that ranks for what you sell.
- You're booked out for months from word of mouth. A tidy profile you update yourself is enough for now.
- You don't have a website yet and can only fund one thing. Start with the site: web design in Brisbane, or websites for tradies. The profile points to it.
Questions people ask
What is local SEO?
Local SEO is the work that helps a business show up when people nearby search for what it does, mainly in the Google Maps results and the map pack at the top of a search. It covers the Google Business Profile, reviews, consistent business details across directories, and a website that backs the profile up.
How much does local SEO cost in Australia?
With us it's a $500 setup, then from $349 a month for one location, with a three-month minimum and month to month after that. More than one location, or new pages on your website, gets a written quote.
Can you guarantee I'll be number one on Google Maps?
No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. The biggest factor in the map results is how close the business is to the person searching, which nobody controls. We work on what you can control and show you in the monthly report what moved and what didn't.
How long before I see results?
Some changes show within a few weeks of fixing the profile. A clear change in a competitive area usually takes three to six months, mostly because reviews build up over time.
Who owns my Google Business Profile?
You do. We're added as a manager, never as the owner, and the same goes for every directory listing. If you stop, everything stays with you.
Can you buy reviews or write them for us?
No. Fake or paid reviews break Google's rules, and Google removes them and can suspend the profile. We help you ask real customers, every one of them, and reply to whatever they write.
Should I put keywords in my business name on Google?
No. Adding words like "Best Plumber Brisbane" to the business name breaks Google's guidelines and is a common reason profiles get suspended. The name should be your real trading name; the services and description carry the keywords.
Do you work with businesses whose website someone else built?
Yes. We review the site during the setup and tell you what it needs. Most of the monthly work happens on the profile and the listings, so it doesn't depend on who built the site. If the site can't be fixed sensibly, we'll say so and quote a rebuild.
What happens after the three-month minimum?
You carry on month to month and can stop at the end of any month. The profile, the listings, the reviews and the review link are all yours.
