Websites for tradies in Brisbane
A tradie website has one job: turn someone searching "painter near me" on their phone into a quote request you can price. We build them for painters, electricians, plumbers, builders and the other trades across greater Brisbane: a page for each service, a quote form that asks what you'd ask on the phone, photos of real jobs and your Google reviews.
Tradie website design with us costs $2,000 to $3,000 and takes 2 to 4 weeks. After launch, the $79/month care plan keeps the site hosted, secure and up to date, with small changes included.

What goes into a tradie website
A page for each service
Interiors, roofs, rewiring, hot water: every job you want more of gets its own page, written around what customers search for and what you actually do. One page that lists everything ranks for nothing.
A quote form that does the first call for you
It asks for the suburb, the type of job, the size and a few photos, then emails it to you with the customer's details ready for a reply. If the email ever fails, the customer sees your phone number instead of a thank-you that went nowhere.
Photos of finished jobs
Your own photos, with before and after shots where you have them. A real job in a suburb the customer knows does more than any stock photo.
Your Google reviews
Reviews come from your Google profile, not typed into the page by hand, and a direct link makes leaving one a two-tap job for a happy customer.
The areas you work in
A clear service area, so customers know you come to them. Suburb pages only where there's something real to say about the suburb (more on that below).
Built for a phone
Most of your visitors are on a phone, often standing in the room that needs the work. Tap to call from every page, a form that works one-handed, and pages that load fast on mobile data.
How much does a tradie website cost?
With us, $2,000 to $3,000. Where it lands depends mostly on how many services and areas get a page of their own: a sole trader with three services sits near $2,000, and a business with seven services, suburb pages and a project gallery sits near $3,000. The website cost guide compares that with what DIY builders, freelancers and agencies charge.
Then there's the monthly side. Hosting, SSL, updates, backups and small changes are $79 a month on the care plan, which includes 2 hours of changes each month.
Do tradies need a website if they have Google Business, Facebook or hipages?
Yes, because each one does a different job. Your Google Business Profile gets you into the map results, and it should link to a website. When someone compares three painters, the profile sends them to your site, and the site is where they decide: what you do, where you work, real jobs, and an easy way to ask for a quote.
Lead platforms like hipages usually share a job between several businesses, so you're competing on price from the first message. A quote request from your own site goes to you alone. Facebook is fine for showing recent work, but you don't control the page, and Google doesn't rank posts for "electrician Chermside". The website is the one piece you own. Keeping the profile itself in shape is ongoing work, and it's what our local SEO service does.
What makes a tradie website bring in quote requests?
Three things, in this order: being found for the job and the area, looking like a business that turns up, and making the request easy. Being found means a page per service in the words customers use, the same name, address and phone number everywhere, and a Google Business Profile that points to the right pages. Looking like you turn up means real photos, your licence number and reviews you didn't write.
Making it easy means the form asks only what you need to price the job, and works on a phone. Splitting it in two steps, the job first and contact details second, makes it feel shorter on a small screen than one long page of fields.
Should a tradie website have a page for every suburb?
Only for suburbs where you have something real to say. A page that swaps the suburb name into the same text is what Google calls a doorway page, and it can drag down the whole site. A good suburb page has facts a competitor couldn't copy: the kind of houses in the area, the problems that come up there, how you get there and how often you work nearby.
For Queensland Residential Painters we rewrote 26 suburb pages along the corridor they work, from the CBD to Aspley, each with its own local detail and questions, plus a check in the build that fails if two pages read too much alike. For most trades, a handful of strong suburb pages beats fifty thin ones.
How long does it take, and what do you need from me?
2 to 4 weeks from the first call to launch. What slows a project down is almost always content, so it helps to have this ready: your services and the ones you want more of, the suburbs you cover, your licence number if your trade needs one, your ABN, and photos of finished jobs. Phone photos are fine if they're sharp and well lit.
You review the site before it goes live. If you already have one, we move the domain and redirect the old pages to the new ones, so the Google traffic it earned doesn't disappear on launch day.
Do I need more than a website?
Most tradies don't. If you need online bookings against your calendar, job scheduling, or a portal where builders follow a project, that's custom software, from $3,000. Start with the site, and add the system when the manual work starts costing you jobs.
Tradie websites we've worked on
When a tradie website isn't what you need
- You're booked out for months from word of mouth and don't want more work. A Google Business Profile with your phone number is enough for now.
- You want a one-page site for under $1,000. A DIY builder does that, and the cost guide explains when it makes sense.
- You need a booking or job management system more than a website. That's custom software.
Questions people ask
How much does a tradie website cost in Australia?
DIY builders cost $20 to $60 a month, freelancers usually charge $1,000 to $3,000 and agencies start around $5,000. With us a tradie website is $2,000 to $3,000, depending on how many services and areas get a page, plus $79 a month for hosting, updates and small changes.
How long does it take to build a tradie website?
2 to 4 weeks from the first call to launch. Most of that depends on how quickly the content arrives: your service list, the suburbs you cover and photos of your work.
Can customers send photos with a quote request?
Yes. The quote form can take photos of the job, so you see the wall, the roof or the switchboard before you call back, and can price it more accurately.
Will my website show up on Google Maps?
The map results come from your Google Business Profile, not from the website itself. The website helps the profile: the profile links to the site, and both show the same business name, address and phone number. We build the site that way and can help you set up or tidy the profile.
Can I update the website myself?
Most tradies ask us instead: the care plan includes 2 hours of changes a month. If you'd rather edit some pages yourself, tell us at the start and we'll build that in.
Do I need my licence number on my website?
If your trade is licensed by the QBCC, your licence number should appear in your advertising, and your website counts as advertising. We put it in the footer of every page, next to your ABN.
Is a website better than hipages or Oneflare?
They do different jobs. Lead platforms charge for leads and usually send the same job to several businesses. Your own site brings people who are already looking at you, and their quote requests go to you alone. Plenty of tradies use both while the site builds up its Google traffic.
Do you build tradie websites outside Brisbane?
Yes. We work across greater Brisbane and South East Queensland, from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast, and most of a project runs over video calls and messages.
