Web design in Brisbane

We design and build custom websites for Brisbane small businesses and professionals: lawyers, accountants, consultants, clinics, tradies and real estate agents. A site costs between $1,500 and $4,000, goes live in 2 to 4 weeks, and is built from scratch for your business rather than adapted from a template.

Every site loads fast on a phone, is set up so Google can read it from day one, and can be built in English, Spanish or both. The code is yours when we hand it over.

How much does web design cost in Brisbane?

Our websites cost between $1,500 and $4,000, paid 50% upfront and 50% at launch. You get a written quote with the scope, the price and a launch date before anything starts, so the number doesn't move halfway through.

Where a project lands in that range comes down to how many pages it needs (up to 10), whether it's in one language or two, and extras like a blog. A five-page site for a consultant sits near the bottom. A bilingual clinic site with a blog sits near the top. For what each type of site costs, and what other options cost, see our guide to website costs.

After launch, our care plan is $79 a month: managed hosting, the SSL certificate, security updates, backups, monitoring and up to 2 hours of small changes every month. You can cancel whenever you like: there's no penalty, and the code stays with you.

Who do we build websites for in Brisbane?

Mostly service businesses of 2 to 20 people: law firms, clinics, beauty and health practices, consultants, trades, and people starting their first business. Our office is at Latin Hub, 123 Charlotte Street in Brisbane City, and our live work is local. Flexi Legal is a Brisbane compensation and employment law firm, and Latin Temple Beauty is a med spa in Stones Corner. Trades have a page of their own: websites for tradies.

You don't have to be in the CBD. We work with businesses across greater Brisbane and South East Queensland, from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast: Caboolture, North Lakes, Ipswich, Logan, Redlands and everywhere in between. Most of a project runs over video calls and messages, and if you're close by, we're happy to meet at Latin Hub.

We're also bilingual, which matters more in Brisbane than people expect. If a good share of your customers speak Spanish, the site can serve them in their language with its own pages, instead of a translate button Google can't index.

Why build it custom instead of on WordPress or Wix?

A template site is cheaper on day one, but it tends to cost you later: in speed, in plugins that need constant patching, and in a site that looks like thousands of others. We build with Next.js, so pages are prepared in advance and served from a global network instead of being assembled on every visit, and there are no plugins to keep updating.

In practice that shows up as speed. The site we built for Flexi Legal scores 95+ on Google's mobile PageSpeed test. That's uncommon for legal sites, and it matters because most people will find you on their phone.

Do I need a CMS to update my website?

A CMS (content management system) is the part of a website where you edit text, images and posts without touching code. WordPress is the best-known one. You need one if you'll change content often. If your site changes twice a year, you probably don't.

If you want one, we build it into your site, set up for exactly what you'll edit and nothing else, so there's no plugin list to patch every month. And if you'd rather not touch the site at all, the 2 hours of small changes in the care plan cover most months.

How will people find the site on Google?

Every site ships with the groundwork search engines need. That means a sitemap (a file listing every page, so Google finds them all without guessing), a clear title and description for each page, structured data that tells Google what your business is and where it is, and pages that load fast enough to count. For Flexi Legal we gave each legal service its own page, so each one can show up for the searches people actually make, and their visibility in local search improved noticeably.

What a new site can't do on its own is build a reputation. Reviews on your Google Business Profile and mentions on other sites do that over time, and we'll tell you honestly which of those are worth your effort. If you'd rather hand that part over, it's what our local SEO service does each month.

How long does it take to build a website?

Usually 2 to 4 weeks from the day you approve the proposal. It starts with a 20-minute call about your business and who you want to reach. Then you get a written proposal with the scope, the price and a launch date, and once you approve it and pay the first 50%, we design and build the site.

After launch, the care plan keeps the site looked after: we manage the hosting and the SSL certificate, keep everything updated and backed up, and when something needs changing you send us a message. We reply to every message within 24 hours.

How do you choose a web designer in Brisbane?

Look at live sites they've built, on your phone, not screenshots in a portfolio. Run one through Google's free PageSpeed test and check the mobile score. Then ask four questions: who owns the code and the domain, what the monthly fee covers, how fast they reply when you need something, and what happens if you leave.

We're happy to be checked the same way. Our case studies link to the live sites, and our answers to those four questions are on this page: you own the code and the domain, the care plan is $79 a month with 2 hours of changes, we reply to every message within 24 hours, and leaving costs nothing.

When you don't need a custom website

  • You sell hundreds of products online. A store with inventory, shipping and product variants is better served by Shopify, and we'll tell you so.
  • You need bookings, client logins or payments. That's a custom webapp rather than a website. Latin Temple Beauty, a med spa in Stones Corner, is one: bookings, a client portal and gift cards in one platform.

What's included in a website?

Design and build of up to 10 pages, a layout made for phones first, a contact form, a blog if you need one, the search groundwork (sitemap, page titles, structured data) and analytics. After launch, the care plan covers managed hosting, the SSL certificate, updates, backups and small changes for $79 a month.

What is a CMS in web design?

The editor where you change text, images and posts without writing code. If you want one, we build it into your site for the content you change often. If you don't, changes go through the care plan.

What is a sitemap, and does my site get one?

A sitemap is a file that lists every page on your site so search engines can find them all. Every site we build generates one automatically and keeps it up to date when pages change.

Who owns the website?

You do. The code is yours from launch, and if you ever decide to leave, we hand everything over. No penalty, no drama.

Can the site be in English and Spanish?

Yes. We speak native Spanish and fluent English, and we've built bilingual platforms for Latin Temple Beauty and Hola Networking. Each language gets its own addresses, so Google can show the right version to the right people.

Do you only work with Brisbane businesses?

No. Besides greater Brisbane and South East Queensland, from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast, we work with clients elsewhere in Australia and in Latin America. Everything can be done remotely, and if you're in Brisbane we're happy to meet in person.

Need more than pages? A custom webapp handles bookings, portals and payments, and our AI implementation advisory helps automate the work that happens behind the site.
